Katherine Heigl opens up to the world regarding her "white bubble life" and how it's affected her parenting style for her adopted multiracial children. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane" told the media that it didn't matter the color of her skin for her. After meeting her Korean-American adopted sister, she noticed the differences between how others took care of her. I inquired of Meg if when she was going out with her parents she got a particular treatment and when out alone, she was treated with a totally different treatment. Meg replied, "Oh, sure, I was treated the same way all the times! This made me realize I was so ignorant," Heigl said to her parents. The singer became angry by the incident, and decided to use that anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl has a four-year old son with her 13-year wife, Josh Kelley. They were adopted by Nancy Leigh from South Korea aged 12 in 2009, followed by Adalaide who was 8 years old and is Black as of 2012.
