Laura Linney was one of the greatest American actors to emerge from the past. Her powerful and vulnerable performances has made her a household brand. When she was a child, spending time at the house of her father her interest grew in theater. After studying at Brown University for a while, then later at Juilliard School to study acting. In just two short years after graduation, she launched her Broadway-based career. The following year she made her debut on the world of film and television. Since then she has been in many films, TV shows and stage performances. Her nominations include three Tony Awards, three Academy Awards, five Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), as well as received numerous awards over her career. However, despite all the awards, her passion for theater is still there, and she continues to perform both in the stage and on screen.
