The children were sleeping asleep in their cribs and I was strapped in with a baby on my back. Ha! It was all falling into place, however there was still a long way to go. The house would need an enormous amount of work and an enthusiasm of shopping. To keep within budget, I began taking my kids to estate sales looking for of diamonds. The routine we had for the week was to spend Thursday-Saturday walking through garage and estate sales, buying old and new pieces while I spent the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. It was a bit like it... This was when my interest in restoration of furniture started. Even though the house was fully equipped, I couldn't quit. There was an area at the local markets that I could sell my pieces. In the end, I was stuffed with too many pieces to store in the room available. Then I began hosting open houses at my house where over 1 000 people would come through in one weekend, and buy anything they saw on the ground floor. Growing Days was founded in my house. The business I was running was growing, but my family was also expanding. As a mom of a child I was able to find the perfect equilibrium to start my own business and also be a good mother. Growing Days fit perfectly. In 2013, my daughter Nora became our fourth child. My business's direction was great, but I was forced to take some time off. I decided to stop building my old furniture for a few months and spend time with my children. This was just what I was looking for. After a while, off the phone started to call. They were asking for my assistance in decorating and renovations. The majority of them came into my residence in my open houses for furniture. I started taking on some clients one at a time taking my time however it wasn't time before I was running numerous accounts and had the complete business of home remodeling. When you first spoke to me about your home remodeling business, I laughed. It's funny to think back about the idea.
