Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12 November 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. First gymnast in history to achieve a score of 10 in a competition at the Olympics. Bela Karalyi came across Comaneci at the age of six. Later, she would be Romania's gymnastics coach. The year 1969 was the first time she took part in the Romanian Junior Championships and placed 13th. In 1970, she won the title. At her first international event in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior event for countries of the communist bloc she won three gold medals and in 1973 and 1974 she became an all-around junior champion. At her first competitive event in senior level, Lyudmila Turkishcheva, a Russian athlete, won five gold medals, as well being awarded a silver. She took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics. She also was the first female to ever dismount parallel bars using backwards double salto. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career as an entertainment professional as a teenager performing as the figure skating duo of her twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was a born on 6th September, 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol was a part of the world of entertainment during her teenage years. At the age of 13, Carol began as a figure skater for traveling shows Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. The shows featured skaters who were followed by musical performances.
